Recessed frame mats designed for mat wells in new construction and renovation projects where a smooth floor transition without the risk of clogging is required. Natural coconut fiber provides biological coarse dirt collection, synthetic rubber scraper for mechanical scraping, and Decorib 21mm polypropylene needle felt for intensive commercial use. Loose-lay mats are available in sizes from 60x80cm to 115x175cm, and recessed mats are available per m² in custom sizes up to 2000mm wide and 12.5m long. A dual-zone system is used: coarse dirt collection as a clean-up zone outside, and fine moisture absorption as a dry-down zone inside.

A flexible, anti-slip coating ensures stability without adhesive bonding. Machine washable at 30°C for easy maintenance. Veco heavyweight, 3790 g/m² with a 9 mm thickness, generates superior absorption capacity of 2-3 liters per m² for high-frequency entrances. 17 mm natural coconut fiber, a sustainable organic material, provides coarse dirt collection with a scraping effect.

Available in custom sizes for custom mat wells. Scraper synthetic rubber, 12.5mm ribbed structure, mechanically removes dirt through friction. Black color masks contamination between cleaning cycles. Decorib polypropylene needle felt on PVC backing, 21mm total thickness, designed for permanent mat well installations with widths up to 2000mm. Regular vacuuming is recommended for maintenance; in case of heavy soiling, scrape for thorough cleaning.

A frame construction of aluminum or stainless steel with a 2-4mm wall thickness guarantees edge stability. For double-door entrances 140-180cm wide, we recommend a seamless surface up to 2000mm wide. Loose-lying coir, decorib, and scraper are placed within the frame for easy cleaning and removal. For outdoor-indoor transitions, we recommend coir or scraper first zone for coarse dirt collection, and decorib second zone for fine cleaning. Sizing & Maintenance Protocol


Loose-lay mats are available in sizes 60x80cm for single-door entrances, 80x120cm and 85x150cm for double-door entrances, and 115x175cm for main entrances with 500+ visitors per day. Pro Clean and Veco machine washable at 30°C for weekly cleaning without mat deformation. Washing instructions without bleach or fabric softeners preserve polyamide fiber integrity. For commercial buildings with continuous operation, double stock is recommended for rotation during washing processes.

Recessed frame mats require daily vacuum extraction. Pro Clean lifespan: 3-5 years, Veco: 4-6 years, coconut: 2-3 years, scraper: 5-7 years, and decorib: 7-10 years. For high-frequency commercial entrances with 1,000+ visitors, biannual inspections are recommended, including wear patterns and preventative replacement.

Which material do you recommend for a doormat to collect coarse dirt during the transition from outdoor to indoor use?

For the outdoor-indoor transition, we recommend 17mm natural coconut fiber or 12.5mm synthetic rubber scraper, depending on the installation type. Coconut offers a natural scraping action with a fiber structure that mechanically removes sand particles.

Removable for outdoor cleaning with a water jet and 12-24 hour drying time. 2-3 years of outdoor use. The ribbed scraper structure generates a mechanical scraping action that is more effective for stubborn dirt. Black color masks contamination. How is a frame mat installed?

Installation requires prefabricated mat pits during new construction or renovation. Mat pits are equipped with an aluminum or stainless steel frame with installation depth for stress-free mat placement.

Integrate the drainage connection into the mat well for water drainage to the sewer. Position the mat well directly after the threshold for effective dirt collection. Supply custom-made frame mats with exact mat well dimensions, including a 2-3 mm tolerance. Place the mat in the frame by applying tension across the mat well surface. For large areas, install multiple mats with minimal seam spacing. Clean the drainage regularly for optimal water drainage.
What size entrance mats do you recommend for double-door lobby entrances?

For double-door entrances 140-180cm wide, we recommend loose-lay sizes 85x150cm or 115x175cm, depending on visitor frequency. The 85x150cm size is suitable for medium traffic, 200-500 visitors per day. For main entrances with 500-1000+ visitors, we recommend a 115x175cm Veco 3790g/m² size for maximum absorption capacity.
