Both systems are available in four sizes: 60x85cm, 85x120cm, 85x150cm, and 115x175cm for modular positioning at single- and double-door entrances. Nitrile rubber backing with 34% post-industrial recycled content provides anti-slip properties that meet commercial building safety standards and prevents edge degradation during heavy use.
Fire class Cfl-s1 certification according to EN 13501-1 is required for insurance conditions for office buildings and complies with the BRL-K903 quality standard for entrance mats. A thickness of 1.4mm with a stacking height of 10mm guarantees a flat surface over thresholds without the risk of visitors falling over. Machine washable up to 49°C for industrial cleaning, it facilitates hygienic cleaning without mat replacement.
Material selection & absorption specifications
Crystal Cotton's 50% cotton/50% polyester fiber blend combines naturally absorbent cotton with durable polyester for a 3-5 year commercial lifespan. Total weight: 3050 g/m² with a 1050 g/m² carpet and 2000 g/m² backing, it generates high water retention of 1.5-2 liters per m², relevant for rainy season moisture exposure. The fibers are undyed for color fastness without chemical treatment, making them suitable for allergy-prone work environments.
Classic Solutions ECONYL® regenerated nylon, made from 100% recycled fishing nets and industrial nylon waste, reduces environmental impact by 90% compared to virgin nylon production. High Twist Heat Set treatment ensures nylon resilience after mechanical stress and filters dirt to the bottom, reducing visible surface contamination between cleaning cycles. Mass-dyed nylon retains color intensity after 50+ washes and industrial cleaning at 60°C without fading.
Both materials meet the antistatic requirement of 10^11 ohms according to ISO 10965 for ESD protection of electronic equipment in lobbies and reception areas. The 100% phthalate-free nitrile rubber backing complies with REACH chemical safety regulations and guarantees edge stability without curling during temperature fluctuations in commercial entrances, from -10°C to +40°C. Reinforced edges on all four sides prevent fraying under mechanical stress from cleaning carts and visitor traffic.
Sizing & Positioning Commercial Entrances
The 60x85cm size is suitable for single-door entrances with a door width of 80-90cm in standard office buildings where the mat width spans the entrance without obstructing the hallway. The 85x120cm size is recommended for single-door entrances with a busy flow of 200-500 visitors per day, where the extended mat length creates an additional cleaning zone. The 85x150cm size is designed for double-door entrances with a width of 140-180cm, lobbies, and reception areas where the central positioning covers both door wings.
The 115x175cm size is the heaviest version for main entrances of office buildings with over 1,000 visitors per day and truck deliveries, where a wide surface area guarantees maximum dirt retention. Facility managers position entrance mats within the secondary cleaning zone directly behind the outdoor mat for a dual-zone system: coarse dirt retention outside, moisture absorption inside. The 10mm mat is compatible with automatic door openers without interfering with the door closing mechanism.

Crystal Cotton has a lifespan of 3-5 years with a daily load of 500 visitors, while Classic Solutions has a lifespan of 4-6 years due to superior nylon abrasion resistance. Replacement indicators include: >20% fiber thinning in visible areas, edge degradation >2 cm in length, permanent discoloration after standard washing, and loss of anti-slip backing.
